Capitals day is a go!!!!  Make sure to save the date, and be prepared to have some fun and cheer on your Capital teams. All of our 10 teams will have a part in the day with nine potential home games. The events will get started at 11am and end with a U18 A game at 5:30. There will be lots going on at the rink during the day, and especially at the U18 game where we will have a raffle and prizes for all North Simcoe players in attendance. We will also be doing a food drive on the day, so please start to save up your non-perishable items. Lots more info will be sent out soon, but let's get excited for the day. GO CAPS GO!!!

This year's U15 A team is looking to build off their great showing in Oakville last weekend leading into the start of the regular season. The team is made up of eight majors and nine minors, and the coaching staff could not be happier in how all the girls have gelled so far. The team got a little bit of a wake up call to start the season with a five to nothing loss to Barrie. It was almost like the girls needed it to realize what it was gonna take to compete at this level. The team turned it around on the very next day, beating the same Shark Squad by a score of two to one. Read More

Your U18 A team has had a busy pre-season schedule with a total of six games played so far. In exhibition play they are two and zero, with wins over Orillia and Clearview. Last weekend they travelled to Oshawa and played a total of four games, going one and three for the weekend. Two of the team's losses were one to nothing, and they were only able to produce four goals in all four tournament games. Creating offence will be an early season hurdle that they will have to overcome. Read More

Your U15 B reps have come out of the blocks with two wins to start the season. On October the 19 they travelled to Barrie to play their first exhibition game vs our rivals, the Sharks.  It was a complete team effort as they won the game by a score of 4 to 1. Goal Scorers were Jocelynn Hewson with 2, Emma Sandy with 1, and Nevaeh Marsden-Newdick with 1. Myah Racine also had a strong effort to start the year and was in net for the win. On Sunday, the team travelled to Toronto for a game vs Leeside. Read More

With a little over a week to go before the start of the regular season, all four North Simcoe HL teams (U9, U11, U13 and U15) have been in full flight preparing for the season. Coaches include Jeff Overink - U9, Travis LePage - U11, Tyler Mayer - U13, and Andy Robinson - U15. All teams have been hard at work with two practices a week in preparation for the upcoming season.  With opponents in Orillia, Barrie, Collingwood, and Huntsville in some divisions, this year's season is shaping up to be a good one. So let's get excited Capital families, find your blankets and noise makers and get out and support your Capital Teams.
