I am writing this message on behalf of the organization to provide you
with a few updates as we start the 2020 hockey season. First of all, we
have elected a new board. We would like to thank those who have put in a
huge amount of time into the association. Leaving us are Karen Robinson
(President), Carmen Marion (Director of House League), Michelle Pauze
(Director of Equipment) and Christine van der Weg (Webmaster). Each has
provided vast expertise and commitment to the association and we thank
them for their contributions.
As we draw closer to the return of hockey, I wanted to give you a quick update on the process going forward. In talking to many parents in the association, I know you have many questions and rest assured, the board is working to finalize plans for this upcoming season. The new executive met tonight and it was decided that we will form a sub committee to decide on the best way to maximize the association's return to hockey. The sub committee's mandate is to look at ice time for practices, deciding on league play and discussing the cost to each member. They will have all of those questions answered early next week. For now, please be prepared to have your child on the ice the week of September 14th.
Here is a timeline going forward:
Phase 1 - Week September 14th and 21st: Skills and Development
Phase 2 - If approved by the OWHA - 3 on 3 or 4 on 4 - Starting the week of September 28th (game sizes could vary by division)
