outscoring Sudbury 5 to 4 to win the tournament. Congrats to all
Players, Coaches, and Parents for a successful weekend.
The U11 team played round robin games vs Barrie, Woolwich, North Halton, and Clarington throughout the weekend. The team battled hard, and got 2 ties and 2 losses out of the weekend. They have regular season games still to play before championship day to end the season. Great job girls, keep working hard and having fun.
The U13 team has been building momentum over the last few weeks with some quality wins in regular season play. The Barrie tournament came at a good time for this team, with confidence at a high for the season. They went 3 wins and 1 loss during the round robin, giving the team the alarm set they were hoping for on Family day, with a semi-final game at 9 30 am. Lead by goaltender Esme van der Weg, the girls held on at the end, winning the shootout over Sudbury and advancing to the team's first tournament championship of the year. The championship game was against the home town favorites the Barrie Sharks. The girls battled hard, but could not generate enough offense in the final, losing by a score of 4 to 1. With 6 games played in 3 days, the team definitely got their money's worth with this tournament. Congratulations to the entire team and families on a fantastic weekend.
