U15A Coming Together Quickly
The U15A Capitals have come out of the blocks in a hurry, having some good results to start the season. After 4 Exhibition games played, the team looked to keep things trending in the right direction at their first tournament of the season in Oakville this past weekend. In round robin play, they had a tie vs Peterborough, and wins vs Chatham Kent and Stratford. This put them into the playoff portion of the tournament, where they beat Clarington 3-0, Oakville 4-3, and Central York 2-1. The big factor in all but one of these games, including round robin was they had all reached the OT period of the hockey game, including a shootout in the semi final win vs Central York.

The girls had played 6 games in thirty-six hours heading into the final championship game vs London. In the final game and their 7th of the weekend, the girls could just not get the offense rolling and eventually lost 2-0. What the coaching staff loved was the no quit attitude the girls had the entire weekend, showing this off in the last game outshooting London 10-0 in the final period. A special thanks to all the families for their commitment to the girls this weekend keeping them fueled and ready to play. Well done girls, what a way to start the season.
